I cannot say enough kind words about Willie and his teammates, Donny and Melvin. They will be completing my basement renovation today, which has taken a little over a month to complete. Willie is a man with integrity, honesty, and an overall great person to have work on your home. They worked Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. They clean up their workspace at the end of each day. He isn’t working on a ton of other projects simultaneously. When he is committed to your home, you get his team completely until the job is done. He provides a more intimate experience, and while things may take a little longer at times because of the smaller team, it is 100% worth it for the quality. I am a bit OCD, and he has taken every little detail that I wanted and truly delivered. He created my vision for my basement, and we are truly grateful. I interviewed so many contractors before finding this man, and please look no further. These are lovely men, and Willie’s smile and positive attitude that he brings each day is an added bonus. He loves what he does and it shows! We plan to use him for all of our future projects, and I am so excited to have such a talented professional in my area to count on who is so versatile with his abilities in construction. Wilson Kitchen: Willie Ratliff, the owner of All Things New, LLC, did an awesome job recently on installing a new kitchen in my 70-year-old home. He and his workers removed and replaced the old metal cabinets, walls, flooring, doors, etc. Through all of that, they were able to keep the disruption, dust, debris, and trash at a minimal. Each day, they were punctual and came ready & prepared to work. What I liked most, though, was his attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and his desire to satisfy his customer. He understood what I wanted and made my dream kitchen come true!! I am an older guy who has had lots of projects with contractors. The remodeling of my bathroom and the interactions with this crew has been excellent. Mr. Ratliff and his crew were open to suggestions; open to explaining all parts of their work; very polite and friendly while still maintaining professional behavior. I, myself am pretty compulsive about work I do around my home–this crew was even more so. Mr. Ratliff stated upon our first meeting that his intent was to exceed our expectations. I hired ATN to do extensive work in my basement: remediating water damage, building bookshelves, reconfiguring a laundry area, and gutting and rebuilding a full bath. First of all, the quality of their work was excellent. Willie and his team do not cut corners, do not take short cuts, and approach every task from drywall to tiling to fixture installation with attention to detail. He clearly takes pride in his work and takes the time and effort to mentor his workers on the trade. The finished product was breathtaking and everything I had dreamed up.
 
I’ve hired many professionals through the years, but what set ATN apart from every other professional I’ve work with was their RELIABILITY, INTEGRITY, AND COMMUNICATION.
 
Reliability: Willie showed up on time to the minute for the estimate, whereas the other 4 estimates we got came late or at staggered times in several hour windows. This reliability continued throughout the weeks of work, as Willie and his team showed up promptly to begin work at 8 am every morning. He had the same exceptional dedicated team every day, and ATN works only on YOUR project until it’s done. He was the only contractor who we got an estimate from who offered this approach, and it made a huge difference.
 
Integrity: Willie was a lifesaver when he discovered, a week into work, that the waterproofing system that another company had installed recently did a subpar job. I think other contractors would have looked the other way and continued their work, but Willie brought the issue to my attention, explained why he thought the work was not done properly and even advocated for us when an employee from that company came over to check it out. He did all this knowing that fixing the waterproofing issues would delay his work, but he did it because he has the utmost integrity. Ultimately, with Willie’s help, we got the waterproofing company to tear out the entire system and redo it from scratch. I can’t thank ATN enough for this.
 
Communication: So important on a big project! Willie communicated promptly on any issue that arose through text, email and face to face. We had many hiccups (termites, unforeseen electrical and plumbing problems), and Willie was excellent at explaining each issue in an understandable way, proposing various solutions, and being transparent about any revisions to the price and timeline. Not only is Willie a great communicator, but he’s also just a super friendly guy, former military and proud dad and granddad.

After a flood that damaged our wood floors and kitchen, All Things New helped us restore and renew our house to a better condition than before the accident. The quality of their work is evident in how they take time to do tasks the right way instead of taking common shortcuts. We are thrilled with the look of our new floors and kitchen, and even more so as we continue to notice small details that speak to the care and skill that ATN invested in the work.
 
The owner, Willie, is very responsive and several times went the extra mile to accommodate special requests. We appreciated ATN’s honesty and forthrightness in resolving the few minor issues that came up during the job, and throughout the process, everyone we interacted with was very courteous and respectful. We always felt comfortable leaving our home in their hands, even when we could not be there. We would heartily recommend ATN for major home restoration and remodeling.

I had a slow leak in my master bathroom floor which was leaking to my dining room ceiling.  Mr. Ratliff and the team did a great job pulling up the old tiles and subfloor which was wet and moldy.  They replaced all the supporting flooring, go rid of the mold, and laid a new floor.  They took were very careful to lay down protective material on the bedroom floor and all furniture.  They did a wonderful job. I will recommend them to others and have them do additional work for me.

All Things New completed mold remediation and basement renovations. Willie was a pleasure to work with and his work ethic is like none other. We have yet to come across anyone in this industry with Willie’s integrity. The work done was top notch and we couldn’t be happier with our new basement! We want to only use All Things New for any work on our house in the future!

I would definitely recommend choosing All Things New! Mr. Ratliff, the owner, runs the business in a very professional and efficient manner and is a pleasure to deal with. He responded very quickly to any questions. We had a full set of very heavy drop downstairs(not counterweighted at all) leading to the attic that was precariously hanging over our basement stairs. It was a very heavy death trap waiting to fall on someone's head. Two previous contractors that looked at it were stumped as to how to remedy the situation safely. Mr. Ratliff immediately offered me two safe options. Work was completed on time as promised, and on budget. Trim work done around new attic entrance looks great with no gaps! Drywall done looks great! We now have a safe and sturdy attic entrance!

Mr. Ratliff and his team renovated our kitchen in October 2016. We live in a row home and our kitchen needed updating and repairs. Because it is small, we wanted to use all the available space. We told Mr. Ratliff what we had in mind but his creativity and expertise transformed our 60-year-old kitchen into a modern one! He took us to choose the cabinets, floor tile, back-splash and made helpful suggestions! Then he designs the kitchen and gave us pictorial print-out of how it will look! Mr. Ratliff and his team were prompt each day, courteous, friendly, helpful, and efficient. They cleaned up and removed all debris from the premises. The job was completed on time. We contacted All Things New to do two bathrooms remodels in preparation to sell our home. The schedule was tight and we needed quality work done quickly. Willie and his team exceeded our expectations. The entire crew was courteous and professional. The attention to detail was outstanding. During the job, we negotiated for some additional work to be performed to repair some troublesome ceiling nail pops and do some wall repair and painting. Willie’s flexibility was greatly appreciated. We have worked with a number of home improvement contractors and can honestly say that All Things New provides outstanding work at a very competitive price. The Job
We recently had our attic redone. It’s a 3rd story walk-up that we use as a kid hangout room. The ATN team removed and replaced all of the drywall, built custom recessed bookshelves, new window frames, ledges and new trim throughout. They even sure up the flooring in the crawspace behind the bookshelves that were previously dangerous to walk on. There were even a few extras they threw in. They saw things that needed repair or replacing and fixed it to make the finished product as flawless as they could make it considering the bones of an 80-year-old colonial.

They arrived in a timely manner each day prepared for the day of work. They kept the work area contained and protected the areas leading up to the attic so our home wouldn’t be trashed in the process. When they finished each day, they cleaned the space. When they finished the entire job, the area was immaculate!
 
We would use this company again in the future and have already highly recommended them to others.

I would like to sincerely thank All Things New for the exceptional service. The job was completed in a timely fashion and I just love, love, love my new front porch and french patio doors. Recently ATN, Mr. Ratliff and his son, did some work at our home that we are just so pleased with and amazed at how “non-difficult” this was. A light under the cabinets for the stove top and replacing a 50 year old plus wall exhaust fan. I’ve asked other “home improvement” people over the 9 years we have owned this house and always get the stink eye. I guess it wasn’t lucrative enough for them, no margin to rip us off and you all know how that goes.
 
By complete accident I had the chance to meet Mr. Ratliff, discussed what we wanted, received a written quotation within days, had the work scheduled, he showed up on time, no excuses. The end result was exactly what we wanted. Excellent work, reasonably priced, cleaned up after and again, NO EXCUSES.
 
Next up is a backsplash for the kitchen and I know that ATN will again deliver what was requested and promised. Working with his son and exhibiting all the qualities of pride in workmanship long forgotten by so many, they are the backbone of America’s independent small businesses. I have so many little things around here I want done the right way and I now know who I’m contracting to do the work.

I was looking for someone to install a new bathroom floor when I found “All Things New” online. I received an immediate response, they came out and took a look at the floor and informed me of what was needed. Upon receipt of the great estimate, I hired “All Things New”, they started 2 days later and in 2 days, I had my new bathroom floor! It was beautiful and I was ecstatic! I plan to use “All Things New” for all of my future projects and I’m telling all of my friends about their outstanding work and work ethic! Simply Amazing!

I contacted Mr. Ratliff in November for an estimate to paint one of the bedrooms in Mr. Edmonds’ home.  He immediately set a date to come and look at it.  He returned the estimate in a timely manner, made a deadline for work completion and did exactly what he said he would do.

My kitchen floor was renovated and I could not be more happy with the job done by Mr. W. Ratliff and his son. The old vinyl floor was removed and red tiles with talavera (mexican) tiles were placed. I have engaged Willie Ratliff, owner of All Things New LLC., to handle three different projects for me. As impressed as I was by Mr. Ratliff after the first project, my respect for his competence and his integrity just keeps on growing. He started by impeccably restoring a beautiful old door; then provided guidance and input on a major electrical job; and has now completed a 100% transformation of a primitive basement area into a laundry room, mechanical room (for furnace and water heater); and a bathroom so beautiful it could be in magazines.
 
At the beginning of the renovation, I gave Mr. Ratliff house keys because I trust him totally. He could come and go as needed whether or not I was at home. His competence is extraordinary. His skill and excellent judgment are evident in everything he touches. He also takes full responsibility for the work done by the electricians and plumbers he brings on board for their specialized parts of the job.
 
He also gave me the freedom to change my mind on things as the work progressed. As I saw additions or subtractions to what I originally envisioned, he gave me solid support, advice, and guidance and, when I asked for his personal opinion, it was always great. Now I’m very anxious for him to begin both a transformation of my 1936 kitchen and the creation of a galley kitchen for the basement apartment.!

We hired Willie to remodel the kitchen for a home that we wanted to sell. Willie worked within our budget and time constraints. He also gave us ideas to help save money in the renovation. The work performed by Willie was excellent and made a dramatic difference which added value and increased the marketability of our home. We were originally told by at least three different real estate agents that our house would not sell. But because of the work performed by Willie our home sold in less than 30 days, after the 2nd viewing. We would use Willie in the future and would give our highest recommendation as an honest and reliable contractor.

This company installed railing in the lower level of our townhome. We had nearly all the required materials but were unable to get the originally contracted company to complete the job. All Things New installed the railing only after bringing the landing up to code. We were appreciative of that in case we ever want to sell the home. They were punctual, professional and neat.

Mr. Willie of the All Things New, LLC, is as professional as they come. I have never had a drywall repair and painting done before, so this is my first. And I must say that I am more than impressed with the kind of job Mr. Willie did. I mean, he was punctual, very professional and courteous, and the job he did is just nothing short of MARVELOUS! He even went out of his way to fix my front door that was having some problems along with one of my room doors and never charged me a penny for them. He vacuum-cleaned my carpet as soon as he was done. Mr. Willie, like I said earlier, is as professional as they come. You can bet these my words on it!

Mr Ratliff did not only a very beautiful job on my door but he was, by far, the most professional of the contractors you recommended. He was also very willing to go back to the drawing board to consider a different way of proceeding when I asked him even though he had already spent time giving me an estimate based on the initial request. I really wanted to save the old door and not replace it with an ugly steel one. The other contractors wouldn’t even consider what would be involved with doing it that way. Mr. Ratliff made changes that resulted in my door is even more beautiful than I had hoped.

I was most impressed by his professionalism and the fact that they got everything done in a timely manner. And the result was just amazing. The bathroom is just beautiful. He was very helpful in picking out the best materials at different stores as well.
